4. Watch over your behaviour at corporate parties. Drink alcohol moderately. Don't sit up very late, resist propositions to stay and continue the party elsewhere. Reject proposals to take you home.

These rules are very simple and unpretentious. Maybe you regard them to be too banal to follow them. The main thing here is to be consistent and honest with yourself. What do you want from your life in general? What for do you go to your work? You should answer these questions sincerely. Don't deceive yourself. One and the same person may conduct differently in different situations. One and the same person can very intelligent and well-bred among decent people and on the contrary may be very cynical and rude in a bad company. The same relates to relationships with the opposite sex. If you let other people understand that they may behave frivolously with you, they will react at once. If you demonstrate your modesty and high moral principles, they will be restrained, because they will be afraid to fall in your estimation. The majority of people are ambivalent and double-faced the manner of their conduct with you is determined by your own behavioural pattern. This is a sad truth, take it easy and simply live with it. When you think that you have already learned a person, suddenly you learn something unpleasant and shocking. Thus even if you have been working at a certain organisation or institution for a long time, it doesn't mean that you can relax and rely on your colleagues.
So, if you want to avoid harassment, you don't need to explain it to everybody. Simply be modest and decent and you will be able to avoid a great deal of different problems.
