Harassment as a reaction to emancipation

For many centuries of our history women were exposed to humiliation, various types of discrimination, violence and scorn. Even nowadays this problem is burning in many countries. The very fact that you are a woman predetermined your unlucky fate.

Today in advanced societies we still have echoes of that hard time. Though in general our society has changed greatly, some of its representatives still stand for obsolete norms of social morality and behaviour patterns. Their voices remain mainly unnoticed in our society, where powerful democratic institutions work. But sometimes we come across small islands of medieval savagery in different places. We often learn from news about violence in families, tyrannical relationships in different firms, companies and educational institutions, etc. It is always sad to hear these news, because after such accidents we begin realise that our modern post-industrial society is still very far form normal civilized relationships and style of life. Sometimes even worse thoughts come, that maybe we deceive ourselves, that our society has reached high moral and democratic standards. Maybe we still are primitive and haven't changed in the course of time.

Nowadays women have already won a great deal of men's rights, they get high posts, become managers of big companies. Some men observe with fear that increasingly more women become powerful and begin to influence our everyday life. Of, course they can't change this situation on a world scale, and they try to conserve their medieval principles at least at home or at work.

In many companies bosses oppress women trying to show them that they are still deprived of their rights and should keep their place.

One of the most widespread ways of oppression on-site is harassment. Bosses often resort to it not simply to have an affair with one of their subordinates, but to demonstrate their omnipotence and significance both as men and bosses. Such people often complain that women take away more and more men's rights and privileges, show their scornful attitude to women. They often tend to doubt if women are able to fulfil complex tasks, argue that women can't have high intellectual level, have doubts about women's efficiency and so on. They exploit their high social status and position to impose their obsolete views on the rest of employees and practice tyranny against women. Such bosses should be pulled down by all means. All employees should unite against such tyrants and rebuff. Thinks to modern legislative system it is possible and effective. Remember that evil is punishable.
